What your donation for the project covers:
- Transportation to/from Cancun airport (vehicle rental, driver’s time, gasoline, road tolls, representing a round trip in each case). This can represent multiple trips when there are flight delays or cancelations.
- Please note that only authorized buses/vans can pick up at the Cancun airport. This means contracting with authorized service providers at a set rate. Cancun offers these and other services at predetermined resort rates –usually quite high.
- Hotel accommodations in double rooms (you will have a roommate)
- Three meals a day
- Bottled water and some snacks daily
- Medicines to stock the pharmacy provided consultations are part of the project. Customs authorities in Cancun are not allowing our teams to bring in meds from the States.
- Anesthesia medicines and supplies provided surgeries are part of the project
- Cleaning staff at surgery center for the duration of the project whenever surgeries are part of the project
- Daily transportation to/from work site (driver’s time, gasoline)
- Daily transportation to provide lunch/drinks to all work sites
- Rental of additional vehicle to transport participants to/from work site to/from meal site when warranted
- Please remember that at this time (2009) IMA is mostly a volunteer led organization –administrative costs are minimal to non-existent.
