Who can go?
IMA welcomes loving people with a good sense of humor, especially dentists, family practitioners, emergency or internal medicine physicians, pediatricians, anesthesiologists, surgeons and trained counselors. We also need optometrists, oththalmologists, opticians, nurses, CNS, NP and PAs, CRNAs, pharmacists, OR techs, Dental Hygienists, translators, lab technicians, fix-it-people, physical therapists, health educators, prayer walkers and general helpers.

Volunteers are selected as they apply on the basis of medical training and past participation. Accommodations and medical facilities determine the size of the team.

We plan summer projects so families can come together and serve (although the minimum age requirement is teenager up).

How much does an IMA trip cost?
Participants pay for personal airfare plus a participation fee:
2 Weeks: $800
1 Week: $600

Are the expenses tax deductible?
Yes. All checks through our office are receipted for tax purposes. IMA is an approved 501(c) (3) non-profit organization.
